What kind of restaurant is Gestrand?
Gestrand is a relaxed beach restaurant for breakfast, lunch, shared dining, drinks and takeaway, just a short walk from the sea. We serve contemporary dishes and love shared dining, so you can enjoy and share good food together.
Do I need to make a reservation?
A reservation is not required, but is recommended during busy periods and for smaller groups. For groups of more than 12 people, a reservation is always required
Are you open all year round?
Yes, Gestrand is open all year round. During the autumn and winter months, however, we are only open for private events.
Is my dog welcome?
No. Our restaurant is located in the heart of De Kennemerduinen National Park, where dogs are not allowed.
Do you have your own parking facilities?
Yes, you can park on the grounds of Camping de Lakens. A day pass costs €13 and gives you a €5 discount at Gestrand (or a €13 discount when spending €80 or more). From 6:00 pm, an evening rate of €8 applies. Parking is free for weddings and corporate events during autumn and winter.
Due to limited parking during the high season, we recommend travelling by bike or public transport. During the low season, there is plenty of free parking available.
Is the location easily accessible?
Yes, our restaurant is easily accessible for families, groups and people with reduced mobility.

Do you also have vegetarian dishes?
Of course! We offer several vegetarian as well as vegan options.
Can you accommodate allergies?
Yes! We have a separate gluten-free fryer. Our kitchen also takes other allergies into careful consideration. Please let us know about any allergies when ordering or making your reservation.

Can we visit with a group?
Yes, for groups of 12 people or more. Check our website to explore all the options and submit an enquiry.
What kind of events do you host?
For example, corporate parties, drinks receptions, meetings, anniversaries, weddings, baby showers and memorial gatherings.
Can you also host a funeral reception or memorial gathering?
Yes, outside the main season we offer a peaceful and respectful setting for funeral receptions and memorial gatherings. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
How quickly will we receive a response to our enquiry?
We aim to respond within 48 hours.
